Cooler mornings, monarch butterflies, and southern sky sunsets are here!

Monday evening before the frenzy of preparing for Hurricane Francine took over, we were treated to a spectacular sunset on Deer Island. Fall and winter nights are outstanding on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We get a full view of the sunset dipping below the horizon because the sun moves into the southwestern sky free from the city landscape.
And as temperatures flirt with mid-80s to mid-70s in the next couple months, the afternoons are perfect for outdoor adventures. Even a short boat ride or sunset cruise is enough to be revived and shake off the heaviness of summer heat and humidity.
